The hydraulic excavator rotary speed reducer WGE100 developed by our company is a key component of the hydraulic excavator. It is basically identical in structure with Japan's Toshiba Co., Ltd. and Korea Daewoo Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.'s rotary speed reducer. It adopts a two-stage planetary transmission, an input speed of 1500r/min, a transmission ratio of 20:1, and an output torque of 10000N.M. During the development of the WGE100 rotary speed reducer, the characteristics of its mechanism and its components were analyzed and discussed, and many key technical problems were solved and the development was successful.

2 The characteristics of the structural components and the problems to be solved 2.1 The application of drum teeth on planetary gears The key technology of planetary gears is the use of tooth-repair technology, namely drum-shaped teeth. The main role of this project is to improve the tooth-to-toe contact accuracy in the floating planetary mechanism, thereby increasing the bearing capacity of the gear and reducing the noise of the mechanism. This part adopts No.45 steel, internal tooth surface requires hardness HRC5058, hardened layer depth 13mm, maximum diameter is small 334mm, tooth width 123mm, tooth tip circle diameter is small 251mm. According to the above conditions should use 300KW electric furnace, because at present we only have 200KW medium frequency electric furnace The use of segmental surface quenching, in the heat treatment process according to the deformation law, set aside the amount of deformation, and take measures to reduce the deformation, so that the ring gear processing a successful trial. With the Leeb hardness tester and microhardness tester, the hardness and hardened layer were fully qualified, and the geometrical test was also fully qualified.

The elastic deformation after stress increases the contact accuracy of the tooth surface. The shape modification technique is adopted in the tooth direction. Its shape is similar to the thickened gear, and it is difficult to process. We use the Y3180E ordinary type gear hobbing machine and adopt a unique two-dimensional single The surface rolling method successfully processed the teeth to the modified output gear.

In the development of the WGE100 rotary speed reducer, we have also successfully developed a bearing bush with a unique material formulation, adopted a liquid nitrogen cooling installation process, carried out a large number of materials and heat treatment tests, and used high-strength engineering plastics.

After nearly four months of development, WGE100 slewing speed reducer was completed at the end of March 2005. All parts and components were inspected by the host manufacturers and all were qualified. The noise of the whole machine was 76 db(A).
